A poem to my younger self

If only you knew what life has in store,
The countless blessings and many doors,
That will open as the years pass by,
Life won’t leave you high and dry.

‘Sticks and stones may break your bones,
But words will never hurt you’
Are words to live by every single day,
Don’t fret over what people think or say.

Be strong, keep faith and always give love,
And trust in the One who’s up above,
Who keeps watch over everything,
And nestles you under His very wing.

Life will be full of highs and lows,
More unexpected than you’d ever know,
Embrace whatever life brings along,
For it’ll always lead you to where you belong.
