Day 2 – Me Time
Sometimes our everyday schedules can get pretty chaotic. Things have become busier in different ways than they used to be pre-covid – often longer hours for those at work, balancing home schooling (for all the parents out there), and dealing with the unpredictable nature of everything that’s been already planned…the list goes on. Taking time out for ourselves is often the last or absent point on our to do lists. Although it can feel almost impossible to slot that time in, it’s one of the best things we could do for ourselves. Even if it’s just 15-30 minutes today, set aside this time as your assigned ‘Me time’. During this allotted time, do whatever brings you joy in your heart. It could be reading a book, listening to your favorite tunes, doodling, painting, power napping or even going for a quick walk. Don’t worry too much about the specifics of what that ‘Me time’ needs to include, change it up every day depending on how you’re feeling. Listen closely to your body and take it each day at a time. Take this time to recentre with yourself and connect with the things you love – you deserve it!
