Day 6 – Boundaries
Boundaries are the lines we draw mentally or physically between ourselves and a specific situation or person. These lines, when drawn out mindfully, protect our wellbeing and health. Without boundaries in our lives, we would be spending all our energy and time into people or situations that may be harmful for both our mental and physical health.
Do you find it difficult to say ‘no’? If so, don’t worry because you’re not alone, I’ve been through that in my life too growing up. Sometimes when we push our bodies past their limits when boundaries are absent, it can leave us feeling worn out both physically and mentally. Setting boundaries in your life allows the ‘real you’ to flourish and grow.
In life, saying ‘no’ to certain situations is a sign of strength and love towards yourself. You know your body best and if there is a situation in which you feel a boundary needs to be drawn, base it on the foundation that your mental and physical well-being comes as a priority always. After all, “You are the one that needs to have your own best interest at heart.”― Adelyn Birch.
