Day 6 – Valentine’s Eve
Love is in the air, not just on Valentine’s day, but every single day. Although highly commercialised, Valentine’s day is a beautiful excuse to set aside some time with your partner or family to celebrate the love between you all. Planning the perfect Valentine’s day for you and your partner or family already may have seemed difficult pre-covid, and the addition of a lockdown can make planning out tomorrow seem more stressful…but fear not, there’s good news! Despite the ongoing lockdown, there are plenty of ways to celebrate tomorrow:
‘The way to someone’s heart is through their stomach’. What better way to celebrate love than to incorporate some delicious food? If you’re quarantining together, you could decide on a cuisine and cook together. For all the competitive ones out there you could do a cooking challenge where each of you cooks each other’s favourite meals. Now onto washing it all down, what’s a meal without the drinks? Have a go at making mocktails or cocktails together, follow a tutorial on YouTube and have some fun! If you’re in a long distance relationship with your partner or away from family, you could decide on a cuisine and order the same foods to each other’s homes and enjoy over a virtual call.
Thanks to YouTube, we have access to so many videos from around the world, many of which are virtual classes for different activities. Depending on your preferences, you could do a virtual couples dancing class (perhaps Salsa), a crafts tutorial or even a painting lesson, the possibilities are endless!
Despite the Covid lockdown, there’s so many ways to celebrate Valentine’s day tomorrow. If you’re single, take this time to indulge in some self-care or spend time virtually with family. Although tomorrow is commercialised mainly around celebrating the romantic love between partners, use this day to also celebrate the love for your family and friends by using the ideas above too. Whatever your situation may be, embrace and celebrate love not only tomorrow but everyday of your life. ❤
Tune in every day of this week for inspo and encouragement on romantic relationships.
